The clock is ticking and you are just a few hours away from joining our BETA group. Are you ready? Don’t worry, we’ll inform you shortly on the exact steps for purchasing your software license.
At the end of our first school week, we’d like to give your more details regarding the most important topic: the Crankk Proof-of-Trust (PoT) mechanism with its Proof-of-Network-Participation (PoNP) and Consensus nodes.
After you had the chance to get up close with our User Dashboard yesterday, today we’re going to open one more door — the wallet functionality. We will teach you how to create a $KDA wallet, as well as how to import an existing $KDA wallet into the User Dashboard. Last but not least, we’ll give you some more details on the Exchange platform.
Crankk puts security first and believes that each wallet should be connected to only one gateway and one software license. This ensures that the user’s funds and data are protected and there are no conflicts between different software licenses or gateways.
On Day 5, we’re glad to present you two of the most innovative features in Crankk: User Dashboard and Explorer. Let’s get started!
Sign in to the User Dashboard with your Google account
Crankk is currently using an integrated Google Sign-In as a primary authentication method. This means that you can easily sign in to the User Dashboard using your Google credentials without having to create a new account or remember a separate set of login credentials.
We hope we haven’t bored you yet with our long letters, so today’s lesson will be shorter. Let us introduce you to our awesome Local Dashboard.
The Crankk Local Dashboard is an advanced tool that allows you to access it locally from a PC on the same network, by typing your gateway IP and port :17080 into your browser.
Hey Crankkster,
Today we’re giving you an exclusive sneak peek into the ultimate tool for software installations – our Crankk Installer as well as our installation guides. To make it not so boring we’ve also added an interesting bonus topic regarding our Cloud infrastructure, so read till the end.
Crankk Installer software
Given that Crankk is predominantly an open-source project and the wide range of hardware options available on the market, we’ve developed an all-in-one tool to install the specific software on each gateway model.
The Crankk Installer is designed with your convenience in mind. You can easily install all the software you need on your gateway, right from the comfort of your PC! Simply log in using password authentication or a private key, check your device model, region and ID, and install the needed components.
Crankk installer uses SSH to access your gateway, making the installation process a seamless experience. Crankksters with networking experience can use the software app to connect to their gateway remotely.
But wait, there’s more! Crankk installer allows you to import your secret key and with the help option, you can learn more about each software component and its functionality.
If your device is having problems, you can effortlessly restart the Crankk container or reboot the gateway itself. Crankk Installer constantly checks for the latest firmware available, ensuring that your device is always up to date.
Installation guides for all supported gateways
At Crankk, we’ve got your onboarding process covered. We know that getting started with a new gateway can be a daunting task, which is why we’ve prepared simple step-by-step guides for all of the supported gateways that can be added to the BETA. The guides will be available for Download on April 8th 2023 at 00:00 CET.
