We have released the promised one-time compensation for the issues experienced during the BETA 1.0. The compensation algorithm was calculated based on the following parameters:
- Total earned: your gateway’s total CRKK earnings
- PoNP date: the date you participated in Proof-of-Network-Participation (PoNP)
- Number of days compensated: the number of days from your PoNP participation until August 9th 2023
- Your average: the average amount of CRKK tokens your gateway earned per day from your PoNP participation date until August 9th 2023
- Network average: the network average amount of CRKK tokens all Alpha group gateways earned per day from their first activity date until April 7th 2023
- Total compensation: Number of days compensated multiplied by the Network average minus your Total earned
It was not an easy task to find a fair and transparent solution on how to calculate the Network average. We decided to take the average of the Alpha group as a basis, as there were almost no technical issues during this time period, therefore the earnings were relatively stable and realistic.
If Your average was under the Network average 7.8017237, you will be compensated for the corresponding number of days.
How do you know if you meet the compensation criteria? Sign in to the User Dashboard → Gateways → click on your Gateway name. If you see a message “This gateway is eligible for compensation ”, congratulations, you have been compensated! You can click on the drop-down arrow and check the specific criteria by which your compensation was calculated.
We know we can’t cover every single case and make everyone happy, but we hope most of you will be satisfied. Please consider this compensation as a one-time goodwill gesture from the Crank team. This will not be a practice for the future.
