The clock is ticking and you are just a few hours away from joining our BETA group. Are you ready? Don’t worry, we’ll inform you shortly on the exact steps for purchasing your software license.
At the end of our first school week, we’d like to give your more details regarding the most important topic: the Crankk Proof-of-Trust (PoT) staking mechanism with its Proof-of-Network-Participation (PoNP) and Consensus nodes.
After you had the chance to get up close with our User Dashboard yesterday, today we’re going to open one more door — the wallet functionality. We will teach you how to create a $KDA wallet, as well as how to import an existing $KDA wallet into the User Dashboard. Last but not least, we’ll give you some more details on the Exchange platform.
Crankk puts security first and believes that each wallet should be connected to only one gateway and one software license. This ensures that the user’s funds and data are protected and there are no conflicts between different software licenses or gateways.
On Day 5, we’re glad to present you two of the most innovative features in Crankk: User Dashboard and Explorer. Let’s get started!
Sign in to the User Dashboard with your Google account
Crankk is currently using an integrated Google Sign-In as a primary authentication method. This means that you can easily sign in to the User Dashboard using your Google credentials without having to create a new account or remember a separate set of login credentials.
Today we’re giving you an exclusive sneak peek into the ultimate tool for software installations – our Crankk Installer as well as our installation guides. To make it not so boring we’ve also added an interesting bonus topic regarding our Cloud infrastructure, so read till the end.
Crankk Installer software
Given that Crankk is predominantly an open-source project and the wide range of hardware options available on the market, we’ve developed an all-in-one tool to install the specific software on each gateway model.
The Crankk Installer is designed with your convenience in mind. You can easily install all the software you need on your gateway, right from the comfort of your PC! Simply log in using password authentication or a private key, check your device model, region and ID, and install the needed components.
Crankk installer uses SSH to access your gateway, making the installation process a seamless experience. Crankksters with networking experience can use the software app to connect to their gateway remotely.
But wait, there’s more! Crankk installer allows you to import your secret key and with the help option, you can learn more about each software component and its functionality.
If your device is having problems, you can effortlessly restart the Crankk container or reboot the gateway itself. Crankk Installer constantly checks for the latest firmware available, ensuring that your device is always up to date.
We’re happy to share with you our Cloud infrastructure and two of our most important partnerships ensuring the stability and highest level of security for our network – VPS.BG and Nowak IT Solutions.
Infrastructure plan and implementation of our server solutions by VPS.BG
“Dear Crankk Team,
VPS.BG has carefully crafted an infrastructure plan for Crankk that prioritizes both security and speed. We have implemented server solutions that are specifically designed to ensure that Crankk remains stable, scalable and highly available, with maximum uptime for all its services.
Our infrastructure plan is well-planned and flexible, allowing for easy scaling and adaptability, as well as the implementation of future enhancements, such as Geo-IP based DNS, improved firewall, security measures and redundancy options. Our approach includes multiple layers of security protocols and monitoring tools to ensure that Crankk is well-protected against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
We understand the importance of data protection and business continuity, which is why we have included encrypted backups and replications as part of our infrastructure plan. Welcome to day two of our exciting week of announcements. Today we are going to show you our list of all supported gateways that can be added to the BETA. Of course, this is just the beginning of our journey and it will expand in the future.
The Crankk network supports two types of gateways: full and light. Understanding the differences between them is essential for anyone looking to use our network in their IoT projects.
As already announced, starting from today until April 7th you will receive important announcements, training materials and detailed instructions on the next steps for the BETA group. It’s time to go back to school, so let’s begin!
We have some thrilling news to share with you about the upcoming BETA launch. We are excited to announce that we will be adding additional 2000 gateways to the already existing ones from the ALPHA group. That’s right, only 2000 spots available! So, get ready to grab this opportunity if you want to be part of our BETA group.
We are excited to propose a change to our tokenomics that we believe will facilitate Crankk’s long-term growth. After careful consideration, we have decided to move away from our multi-chain tokenomics system and adopt a chain-agnostic approach. This solution will simplify our tokenomics and make it easier for both current and future community members to understand.
