Crankk official guide for onboarding a Dusun gateway
For this guide you will need a USB C to USB A and LAN Cables.
If you’re considering dual mining Helium, please remember that you need to onboard it with Helium first.
Please note that this guide applies to two scenarios:
1. Already onboarded light Dusun gateways, which can be upgraded to full gateways with access to the Local Dashboard and all the associated benefits.
2. New Dusun gateways that have never been onboarded in Crankk before.
In this guide, we will walk you through the process of flashing the Debian OS onto your Dusun gateway using a Windows OS PC.
Please follow this link to download the OS image for Dusun. Once the download is complete, extract the contents of the downloaded image file.
2. Download and Install the AndroidTool.
For this step there is no need to connect your Dusun device to your PC yet.
Download the AndroidTool required to flash the image
from here.
Make sure to install the needed drivers from here.
Then please restart your PC.
3. Connect the Dusun to your PC
Use a USB-C cable to connect the Dusun device to the USB-A port on your PC. The port is located on the back of the gateway.

Now click on Upgrade and wait till the flashing process is completed.
Upon completion of the process, disconnect the use cable and restart the gateway normally.
5. Install Crankk via the Crankk installer
Download the latest Crankk installer from this link.
While waiting the download to complete, connect the Dusun to your home network via LAN Ethernet cable.
Now check your router to find the gateway IP address.
If you are unsure how to do this, you can use free tools like Advanced IP Scanner to help you out. Check the MAC address of your gateway to find the correct IP address.
Install and open the Crankk Installer.
At the login screen choose Password Authentication.
Type in the gateway IP.
The default port is 22
Username: root
Password: root
6. Install Crankk.
Once you are logged in, please select Install Crankk.
